THE DEPRECIATION GUILD was an american shoegazing band from brooklyn, new york who were making music from 2005 up until this year; the band just broke up after their final show in january. during their time making music, the band released two albums; in her gentle jaws and spirit youth. their sound is primarily split up between shoegazing dream rock and something called nintendocore, a genre that utilized and early nintendo-sound. it’s beautifully pieced modern shoegazing, and if you’re a fan of the genre like myself (i am a HUGE shoegazing fan) you should check them out.
